'Kids Contact Lenses'

We are frequently asked if contact lenses are safe for children to wear, and in many cases the answer is yes. If your child is asking about contact lenses then there are usually one or more under-lying reasons, including finding glasses cumbersome (even dangerous) if they are sporty or very active, they may be being teased at school for wearing glasses and want the freedom to choose their own 'look', or they are simply wanting the freedom of wearing contact lenses instead of glasses. Much of the decision as to whether they are ready to wear contact lenses on either an ad-hoc or every day basis will depend on their maturity, hygiene routines and attitude to taking responsibility.
