'eye examination'

"We believe that every person who requires optical assistance should be understood completely, by learning exactly how they live their lives, from the moment they open their eyes in the morning to the moment they close them at night.

We do not simply sell glasses and contact lenses, we give the best possible solutions for unique lifestyles, enabling our eye care clients to enjoy the world they see. We give peace of mind."

Royston Bayfield, Managing Director and Optometrist

This unique Bayfields approach is to take your entire lifestyle into consideration, listening very carefully to how you need us to help you live the life you desire.

Bayfields Eye Examination

A regular eye examination does a lot more than check what you can see, and can pick up early signs of eye conditions such as glaucoma, as well as detecting underlying general health problems, including diabetes and high blood pressure.

At Bayfields Opticians, our Optometrists are committed to listening to you and understanding your precise needs. They have at their disposal state-of-the-art equipment not found in every Opticians, such as Fundus Cameras, Corneal Topographers and an OCT instrument

We recommend that everyone has an eye examination every 2 years, or more often if recommended by their Optometrist. Children and people aged over 70 should have an eye examination every year, or more often if recommended by their Optometrist.

The Bayfields 40 Minute Eye Examination

Often, an eye test will only last 15-20 minutes.

Why are our appointments longer?

Because we give you the time and the care you deserve. We are determined to find the best solution for each, individual lifestyle. We listen to people's needs and concerns, and use the most up to date technology in our consulting rooms.

What we do in our appointment time

We do our best to ensure we see you clearly. Our Optometrists take time to understand a full eye health history, and ask you important questions about current concerns and your general health. They also take into account your lifestyle and visual needs.
