'Huddersfield Christmas Toy Appeal'

Bayfields Opticians clients and staff support Huddersfield Royal Infirmary Children's Ward.

Staff and clients at Bayfields Opticians have been busy collecting Christmas presents for the Children's Ward (Ward 18) at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. This will make sure children aged 6 months to 16 years old, boys and girls will receive a gift at Christmas time.

The toy appeal calls upon local people in Marsh, Edgerton, Longwood and other surrounding Huddersfield areas to buy one extra gift, which will be given to children who are residing in hospital over the festive season.

Jayne Rhodie Manager of Bayfields Opticians Huddersfield practice, who together with the team have been organising the toy collection said:‘Each year we like to get involved in a local charity initiative, and we thought this year would be great to support the Children's Ward at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. We encourage local clientele or indeed anyone in the local area to come into practice and donate a gift for a child at Christmas.’’

Karen Foster, Health Play Specialist said: We really appreciate companies like Bayfields help to add extra surprises with the donations of toys. Especially over Christmas, for those who have to spend time in hospital, which also makes it extra special for the families too.’’

If you want to make a difference and take part in this Christmas toy appeal initiative, please visit Bayfields Huddersfield, 120 Westbourne Road, Marsh, or call 01484 531938 to speak to a member of the team.
