Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists Huddersfield


Our Huddersfield practice has been here in on Westbourne Road for over 45 years, and we've spent time making sure our community has access to high-quality, friendly service. We’re here to help you achieve the best vision possible, thanks to our very extensive eye tests and the great care we take over helping you find the right glasses and/or contact lenses. We also offer services to improve hearing. 

We enjoy being part of the local community, so we support the annual Samaritans Easter Egg Hunt as well as a local singing group.  

Developed an eye problem? 
We’re part of ‘PEARS’, the primary eye-care assessment and referral service. This means if you’ve suddenly developed a problem with your eyes or your vision, we’ll try to see you as soon as possible. And in the unlikely event that we can’t help, we’ll look for a nearby PEARS practice that can.  

Glasses a bit wonky – or broken? 
Whether you’ve sat on your glasses or just need them adjusting or repairing, bring them in and we’ll do our best to sort you out, whether you got them from us or not.  

Audiology service 
We can also take care of your hearing, with hearing tests and access to high-quality hearing aids and helpful treatments which could improve your hearing.

I was a patient of Angela Barraclough Opticians on Westbourn...e Road in Huddersfield for over 20 years. Several years ago this practice was taken over by Bayfields Opticians and the level of care has continued to be excellent. I have no complaints whatsoever and can recommend Bayfields to anyone looking for this care and optical needs.

Always a pleasant experience with Bayfields Opticians. I had... an eye test with them yesterday. The staff are friendly, polite and professional. Laura is an excellent Optometrist, takes on board everything you tell her, works out the best solution for your eye care - she obviously knows exactly what she’s doing. The way she checks your eye health is so thorough. Having the OCT check is worthwhile as it compares with previous visits to check for any pathology that might be starting in your eyes - seems an amazing piece of technology. Overall, a first rate experience with Bayfields! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Thank you!
