"I feel that passing on the baton of ownership to Bayfields Opticians will bring a new dynamic into the business that will not just manifest itself as a continuation of excellent service, but also in the provision of exciting new products and comprehensive investment”
– Philip Saunders, Partner, John Harwood Optometrists
The Camberley practice is one of the newest editions to the Bayfields Group and it conveniently located at the top end of the high street.
After the war John Harwood rapidly developed his Guildford practice. He opened his new practice in Camberley in 1929. With the team always endeavouring to provide the best service and eye care, the practice has continued to grow ever since.
As in the other Bayfields practices, our Camberley practice offers patients digital retinal photography, which has proved a useful tool for diagnosing and monitoring certain eye conditions.
The Camberley practice also offers Ortho-K, a treatment that is fully reversible to correct myopia. The practice has a corneal topographer which maps the cornea, so that a tailor-made contact lens can be made. These specially designed contact lenses reshape the cornea overnight to enable myopic patients to see clearly during the day without the need to wear contact lenses or spectacles. The treatment is particularly beneficial to sportsmen or women, those that work in dusty environments or current contact lens wearers who suffer from dry eyes. More information can be found at www.eyedreamlenses.co.uk or by phoning the practice.
