We’re looking for a

Senior Management Accountant

to work in our Central Support Office (Esholt)


An exciting opportunity has arisen to manage the finance department, to meet finance deadlines, to drive improvements for the department and the wider business, and to bring an enthusiasm for the Bayfields culture that will help integrate new acquisitions into the business.

The role:
•   Ensuring delivery of the MI Pack on working day 10 to include commentary and analysis, overseeing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
•   Bringing new acquisitions on board including integration into MI pack, completion accounts, and driving closure of old bank accounts through supporting the migration of suppliers, NHS income and Direct Debits.
•   Preparation & submission of VAT returns and all VAT compliance reporting to the FC and FD.
•   Payment of monthly payroll and PAYE, including reconciliations, payroll journal input and pension submissions, and working closely with the People Team.
•   Significant contributor to the year-end statutory accounts processes by supporting the FC and providing relevant information to the auditors.
•   Strive to find opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiencies in the Finance Team by owning various projects and seeing them through.
•   Line manager responsibility for 4 team members including regular 121’s and supporting development within the team.

•   Ability to diagnose, solve problems and make clinical decisions.
•   Excellent record keeping.
•   Ability to plan, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
•   Ability to analyse consolidated accounts data
•   Line management experience of coaching and developing team members
•   Capable of collaborating across different teams and working with other departments to get things done.
•   Be comfortable to challenge processes to make improvements where “it’s always been done that way”

Education:
Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:
Management: 3 years (preferred)
