The Chester store has been a part of the Bayfields family since 2021. Before that, you may have known us as Mullen Opticians. Located in the heart of historic Chester we’ve been warmly welcoming clients new and old for many years now helping them to see better, feel more confident and do more.

I have been a regular at Bayfields (and under its previous name) for nearly 25 years. My Mum was struggling to get varifocals to work following cataract surgery in one eye. We’d had a couple of failed attempts with her existing optician, so I suggested we visit Bayfields in Chester instead. The care, patience, reassurance and kindness we experienced was outstanding and Mum now has varifocals which work. As a hearing aid wearer, this has improved her life beyond measure - no more switching between glasses. She is beyond delighted. The atmosphere in the shop is warm and welcoming, they have all the latest technology and we cannot thank them enough for finding a solution which works. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their service.
