A message to our clients

In light of the most recent government advice and in order to protect our community, our practices are temporarily closed for routine appointments. However, we are still very much here for you and want to do all we can to support our clients during this uncertain time.

Emergency care
If you have an eye care or hearing emergency, please call us and we will carry out a telephone assessment to understand how we can help to resolve the problem for you and give you the expert advice you need. We have qualified optometrists and dispensing opticians ready and waiting at the end of a telephone for when you need us and we will arrange to see you in person at your local practice, or a practice nearby with the most appropriate equipment for your needs, should this be necessary. 


Contact lenses
Your contact lens supply will continue as normal and if you’re due a contact lens review and you think your eyes may have changed, we will be doing these via telephone appointment for a little while. Please use our healthy eyes checklist to check your eyes are still healthy. Your contact lenses will be posted to you as normal, but if you usually have them sent to us in practice, we’ll change that for now, so they come straight to your letterbox. If you need contact lenses on an ad-hoc basis, just give us a call and we can get these sent out to you.


Hearing aids
If your hearing aid needs a new battery or repair, we can also help with that. Please contact us and we will talk to you about how we can help.


Routine appointments
At this time, we are not offering routine appointments. If you have a routine optical or audiology appointment booked in the coming weeks, we will be giving you a call to move this to a later date.

Support for NHS and other Key Workers
We understand how vital it is to ensure our key workers have everything they need to be fit for work. Lost or broken glasses, running out of contact lenses or a hearing aid with no battery may cause huge issues. If you are a key worker and need help with your vision or hearing, regardless of whether you are a Bayfields client or not, please get in touch with your local practice and we will help.
