Transactional Finance Manager Role
Esholt, BD17 7RH (Hybrid: 3 days office based & 2 days home based)
Salary circa £45k
Hours: Interim (minimum 3 months), 5 days / 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm)
Bayfields Opticians & Audiologists is on the lookout for a dynamic interim Transactional Finance Manager to lead our transactional finance operations with precision, passion, and purpose.

As our Transactional Finance Manager, you will be the driving force behind the accuracy and efficiency of our financial transactions. You’ll lead a high-performing team and ensure our financial processes run like clockwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure 100% accuracy in AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing transactional finance team
- Improve invoice processing speed and reduce outstanding invoices
- Minimise non-PO transactions by year-end
- Ensure client debt is chased by practices and NHS debt is recorded and applied for on time
- Maintain tight control over corporate debt
- Support your team and ensure fair workload distribution
What You Will Bring
- Proven experience in a finance team, including financial administration
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Familiarity with Sage 200 and Concur (desirable but not essential)
- A proactive mindset and a passion for process improvement
