Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists Guildford
An opticians practice has been here in Guildford for over 100 years – since 1911, in fact. The Guildford store has been a part of the Bayfields family since 2019, but you may have known us as John Harwood prior to this. We’re proud to offer a wide range of eye care services, and we warmly welcome students (and we offer student discounts, too).
Come to Bayfields for your eye test and you’ll a very thorough test, to spot any problems with your vision, your eye health and even aspects of your general health.

Repairs and servicing
Have you sat on your glasses? Or have they started feeling a bit loose? We’ll be more than happy to make any adjustments and repairs we can. We can also set up regular servicing.
Our reviews
Small branch office in larger organisation, with friendly and helpful staff and a personal feel. During the eye test, Matthew made me feel at ease and happily answered all my questions. Very modern equipment made the process much quicker than before and without needing the uncomfortable puffer pressure test. Excellent.
Behind the small shop front (opposite the Halifax at the bottom of the High Street) and the personal service lies an ophthalmic hub of technology. To my knowledge, no other optician gives an alternative to the torture of the puffer test for eye pressure.
