Bayfields Opticians Henleaze, or as you may have formerly known it, Newsom & Davies, provides the local community with access to a high-quality and friendly service.
We take a little extra time, because it's worth it.
There's a lot to a good eye test. We want to find out how your glasses or contact lenses fit into your life, and where we can make things better. We also want to make sure we catch any potential issues before they cause bigger problems. That's why our eye tests usually last around 45 minutes, noticeably longer than the industry standard.

The most brilliant members of staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and being served by. They are honest and experienced and well versed in optics. They are a true testament to the industry. The Optometrist Sal especially is incredibly smart and knowledgable and is an integral part of the team and honestly the best Optometrist to test my eyes to date. Not to mention the trainee Dispensing Optician Toby was wonderful and very helpful in catering to my needs. Furthermore, Bayfield's front-of-house staff member Tracy was incredibly sweet and charming. I will only come to Bayfields Opticians in Henleaze from now on!
I was seen relatively quickly and the staff were attentive and very friendly. I used the optician services and the audiology services all on the same day, which was helpful. Both the optician and the audiologist were professional and took their time to explain everything. I would definitely recommend this service.
Saleha was amazing, I had an eye examination and a contact lens review. Everything was clearly explained to me, all my questions were answered and she was kind and caring throughout. Highly recommend her to everyone!
Excellent service. I called late yesterday afternoon as I was having difficulty removing one of my contact lenses. They arranged to see almost immediately. When I arrived the optician, Saleha Jaffe, saw me and quickly sorted out my problem. And with a very friendly manner.
I was made to feel most welcome a nice cup of coffee was offered which was most welcome on a cold day. Optician was very friendly not only interested in your eyes but you as well. As I had to be referred for a cataract op she spent a little while explaining and informing me about the procedure. All in all a very positive experience and I would quite happily recommend them.
