We take a little extra time, because it's worth it.
There's a lot to a good eye test. We want to find out how your glasses and contact lenses fit into your life, and where we can make things better. We also want to make sure we catch any potential issues before they cause bigger problems. That's why our eye tests usually last around 45 minutes.
How to find us
We’re conveniently located on Baron Road with plenty of parking right outside the practice. We're also just a 15 minute walk from the South Woodham Ferrer's train station.
Our reviews
I've been using this practice for many years. It's recently changed ownership but has retained the fantastic staff. Always very professional and always excellent service. I have never had any issues with any of the glasses they have supplied. They offer several more advanced checks including optimap and a retinal scan. That is particularly good for conditions where glaucoma might become a problem. I also have internal eye pressure monitoring too.
My son got some saw dust in his eye today at work, I rang Bayfields spoke to a lovely lady on reception & thankfully she was able to help me get my son an emergency appointment this afternoon to check his eye , my oldest son took him & said all the people there were so nice & friendly - thankyou so much Bayfields for helping us today A* service . I would happily recommend Bayfields to anyone .
Really welcoming staff totally professional. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience as a type one diabetic they took the time to inform and educate.
A very pleasurable experience at bayfields I was treated very professionally by a friendly team of people. My eye examination was extremely thorough and I was given a step by step explanation of my eye examination and the condition of my eye sight also there was a very professional part of the team that assisted me in choosing the right pair of glasses and lenses which suited my needs a first class company.
I can not recommend Bayfields opticians enough they really are very welcoming and helpful with excellent customer service. They go above and beyond for my son who has special needs always assisting and helping with new glasses and having the time and patience with him when we come in to the store which can be very daunting for myself.
