Bayfields Opticians in Woking, formerly known as John Harwood, are a professional and friendly team dedicated to providing a high-quality service and expert eye tests and eye care to all of it's customers. The Bayfields team are committed to protecting the vision and health of the people of Woking.

Eye tests
We conduct extremely thorough eye tests, lasting 45 minutes, and this can include retinal imaging. Being so thorough means not only checking your eyesight but also getting a sense of your eye health and even your general health.
Contact lenses
Many people think they can’t wear contact lenses, perhaps because of their age or prescription, but actually most people can! That’s why we do FREE contact lens trials. We’ll help you get started, showing you how to wear them and offering regular reviews.
Screening and referral programmes
We take part in vision children's eye test screening at schools, helping to children to get the best out of their education and maximise their life chances. We also do diabetic screening, and can do direct referrals for treatment for cataracts.
Glasses repairs in Woking
We don't charge for minor adjustments and repairs such as fitting a screw. Where do we a more tricky repair within the practice, we’d love it if you could make a donation to our Bayfields charity. And if we can't fix something, and your frames aren't within warranty, we use an optics repair company which charges a small fee.

Brilliant experience made so by the great customer service provided. I attended an eye test and contact lens review appointment, mid afternoon on a Saturday, and even though it was busy, it didn't feel like it. Thanks, in particular to Nav and Charlotte, who were super helpful and knowledgeable, making the whole process friendly and fuss free despite me being in a wheelchair.
Just wanted to thank Lina and the whole team for their outstanding service and advice! My elderly dad needed eye tests and 2 pairs of new glasses (reading and distance). Everyone was so helpful, patient and understanding with him throughout the whole process, resulting in my dad having what he needed and wanted, in good looking frames. Lina tried to make everything as easy to use and remember as possible. Really impressed with the service and would definitely recommend.
It was great to have the same Optician that that carried out my previous eye test. I have always been looked after very well at the Woking branch and it is nice that you are remembered when you go into the store. Everyone in the branch is extremely friendly and will go that extra mile to ensure that you are happy with your glasses.
We have been attending Bayfields Opticians since my children were tiny. We always have had a wonderful service from everyone there to the point that we do actually enjoy attending and seeing all the familiar faces from the previous years. It’s always been great to see Charlotte and my children have basically grown up with her and are used to having their eyes tested with her. Nothing is too much trouble and we always feel very well cared for.
