For children and teenagers who wear contact lenses, Connect Kids also includes:

-10 free daily disposable lenses each year, where a suitable daily disposable prescription is available
-33% off contact lenses and solutions from the Bayfields range
-Free home delivery up to 12 times a year for clients aged 16 and over
-Up to two free replacement lenses each year if eligible lenses are lost or damaged

What if my child has myopia?
How does Connect Kids work?
Simplifying your family’s eye care only takes a few easy steps:
1. Book an appointment
Book online or speak to your local Bayfields practice and let the team know you’d like to join Connect Kids.
2. Register your child
Connect Kids is available for registered Bayfields clients under the age of 18.
Membership is paid by monthly Direct Debit and has a 12-month minimum term.
3. Start enjoying the benefits
Your child can start using their Connect Kids benefits once the first membership payment has been made.
Where your child is entitled to NHS-funded eye care, we’ll claim the relevant NHS fee on your behalf.
4. Their membership grows with them
After their 18th birthday, the membership moves to Connect Young Adults, currently £9 a month, giving them access to a wider range of benefits for the next stage of life.

How can families benefit from a children’s eye care plan?
A children’s eye care membership can make it easier to stay on top of regular appointments and everyday eyewear needs as your child grows up.
Connect Kids brings routine care together with practical benefits like free spare glasses, emergency appointments and contact lens support, helping to make family eye care feel a little more manageable.
Are regular eye tests covered for kids?
Connect Kids includes your child’s eye test and an OCT scan. OCT technology is available at every Bayfields practice, while selected practices are equipped with optomap® technology.

Does Connect Kids include hearing or ear care for kids?
Connect Kids is an eye care membership and doesn’t include hearing or ear care benefits.
When your child turns 18, their membership moves to Connect Young Adults, which includes hearing care benefits as well as eye care. Earwax removal is available from age 19.
What age groups are eligible for Connect Kids?
Connect Kids is for parents of children under 18.
After your child’s 18th birthday, the membership moves to the Connect Young Adults plan.
Do children get a free pair of glasses with Connect Kids?
Connect Kids includes a free spare pair of glasses* as part of the membership.
Are contact lenses included with Connect Kids?

What is the difference between Connect Kids and Connect Myopia?
Connect Kids is our general eye care membership for children under 18.
Connect Myopia is a separate membership for children identified as myopic or at risk of myopia. It includes different care and benefits designed specifically around myopia management.
Your optometrist can advise which membership is appropriate based on your child’s individual eye care needs.
How do I sign up for Connect Kids?
Book an appointment online or contact your local Bayfields practice and tell the team you’d like to join Connect Kids.
Your child must be a registered Bayfields client, and membership is set up through monthly Direct Debit.
