At Bayfields, we make sure your glasses and contact lenses suit your lifestyle perfectly. You can choose from the following appointment types to get the most out of your visit.
1. Eye Test & Contact Lens Appointment
A 45-minute advanced eye test tailored to your lifestyle, including an OCT scan for early detection of eye conditions like Glaucoma. Combine this with a 15-minute contact lens review if you already wear lenses.
You can also try our Online Eye Test to check your vision from home before your appointment.
2. Children’s Eye Test (wears glasses)
Free NHS children’s eye test for ages 16 & under (or 18 if in full-time education), lasting 30 minutes. Ideal for first-time visits or children already wearing glasses. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
3. Contact Lens Appointment
Routine review for current lens wearers with an up-to-date prescription (15 minutes). Combine with an eye test if needed.

For new lens wearers, a complimentary 30-minute initial assessment checks suitability and may include a trial. You must have had a full eye exam in the last two years.
